Agatha Raisin and the Witch of Wyckhadden
Synopsis
There is nothing more depressing for a middle-aged, lovelorn woman with bald patches on her head than finding herself in an English seaside resort during the off-season.
Still suffering the consequences of her last investigation—and losing her hair after an encounter with a murderous hairdresser—Agatha Raisin retreats to a traditional seaside hotel to recover in peace, far from the watchful eyes of her neighbors in the Cotswolds.
Frustrated by the slow progress of her hair regrowth, Agatha follows the advice of some local residents and seeks help from the town’s reputed witch. After purchasing a hair tonic—and a love potion, just in case—Agatha soon finds both her hair and her romantic prospects improving.
But the quiet resort is thrown into turmoil when the witch is brutally murdered.
Determined to uncover the truth, Agatha investigates the residents and visitors of the seaside town, convinced that one of them is hiding a deadly secret. As always, she won’t rest until she catches the killer—and perhaps finds a little romance along the way.
