Music is really, really distracting.
Audio presentations of spoken word content obviously must prioritize clarity of the dialogue over everything else. Therefore any additional sounds added are best done with a “less is more” type approach. The music is a horrible and intensely distracting addition that greatly detracts from the enjoyment of the performance. It might make sense as a transition element added for a few seconds here and there. But, like geocities websites taught us in the 90’s, just because things can be added doesn’t mean they should. At the very least, perhaps there should be a version of the audio that is just the voice actors and nothing else. The voice acting itself is superb as always.
