Agatha Raisin and the Potted Gardener
Synopsis
A little friendly competition for the attention of a handsome neighbor turns deadly in this third installment of the popular Agatha Raisin mystery series.
When Agatha Raisin returns to the village of Carsely after a stay in London, she discovers that a new woman has captured the attention of her attractive bachelor neighbor, James Lacey. The newcomer, Mary Fortune, seems superior to Agatha in every way—especially in the art of gardening.
With Carsely Open Day fast approaching, Agatha longs for an exciting mystery to remind James of her talents as a detective and distract him from his growing admiration for Mary.
Her wish is soon granted. A series of attacks on the village’s finest gardens escalates into murder when Mary herself is found dead, buried upside down in a terracotta pot.
Determined to uncover the truth, Agatha begins digging into the victim’s past and uncovering long-buried secrets. But as the investigation deepens, Agatha discovers that she may not be the only one hiding something.
