jeff is really bringing back the art of voice acting- i was worried i wouldnt like it but it really added a fun layer to my DCC obsession

Reading DCC is good, listening to the audiobook is great. Audio Immersion Tunnel is even better. It's a great way to add to the "re-reading" experiance where it's the same but also with new layers that take it up a notch.

I love the DCC book series and the Audible version and was excited when I heard about this reading but after listening to the first episode, I have to admit it fell flat. I think there was too much creative liberty taken in the re-telling of this story. There was a lot of over explaining where I zoned out and the sound effects or music were too loud. There were parts where it was hard to hear the dialogue because of this. I hated the addition of the "audio immersion tunnel". I also found myself thinking "that didn't happen in the book" very often, which also annoyed me. It's like what they do with movie classics when they remake them. It never hits the same. There is a reason they were awesome in their original forms.

The actual books are great. Jeff Hayes' perfomance on the audiobook is stellar. But this is perfection.

I absolutely lost my **** when Donut ****** in his moms ashes. I was listening while I was at work and spit my iced tea all over my pc monitor. I was laughing so hard my co workers thought something was wrong with me.

a grad student told me to read the series and i am all in. Looking for kore ways to immerse myself while we await the next book!!! This is perfect.

amazing book. Loved every moment of this book.

Listened through the Audible versions twice, read the hard copies, and now finally on to these versions. Even being well versed in the plot and story it is going to be painful waiting for each new episode to come out, but well worth it. Amazing work and amazing talent across the board. Can't get enough of this team or this story. Thanks Matt, Jeff and everybody else at SoundBooth, you guys are phenomenal!
