Synopsis

Rebecca Zander thinks she’s scored the career of a lifetime as an interdimensional hopping researcher. You know the pitch: see the multiverse and enjoy all seven seasons of Firefly while studying superhero physics. Maybe if she bends the rules some she can even have coffee with the O.G. masked crimefighter, Baron Steele. Unfortunately for Rebecca, New York City’s weather report didn’t mention a chance of giant robots falling from the sky.

Elsewhere, things aren’t much better for Tarim Yang and his team of Chinese special forces. They must, um, secure Rebecca to ensure China isn’t left behind in a new superhero arms race. Little things like breaking treaties and ripping through reality’s space-time fabric won’t stop Tarim from achieving his mission.

In the wake of their choices, Rebecca and Tarim must navigate betrayals, superpowered battles, and threats of cosmic annihilation–all while wrestling with the hope of finding home, love and redemption in a multiuniverse where nothing is certain. Not even death itself.

unfamiliar with raptors

so I am a book enthusiast, and I am unfamiliar with the raptor universe. That said, this is a great story and the characters are very well fleshed out and unbelievable. My favorite character is tarim As he seems to have the most depth and struggle working for China, having his loved ones there, but also knowing that the things that he has had to do for the Chinese government are evil. overall, it has been a great listen. i highly recommend.

Great Addition to the Raptors Universe

Great characters and performances. There’s enough introduction to the universe that you can listen to it independently as well.
